Finally, stroll back across the bridge for a little light shopping in the fabulous designer outlet before catching dinner and a show back in the Lowry Centre.Fancy a trip out into the country? Then the dark peaks of Derbyshire and the rolling plains of Cheshire are a short journey away. A stop in Manchester is absolutely worth your while.

ประวัติความเป็นมา :
หากจะอ้างถึงประวัติ ของจังหวัดขอนแก่น ซึ่งเริ่มก่อตั้งเป็นเมือง มาตั้งแต่สมัยรัชกาลที่ 1 อายุเพียงแค่สองร้อยกว่าปี ก็คงจะกล่าวไม่ได้ว่า เป็นเมืองเก่า แต่ที่จริงแล้ว ดินแดนบนที่ราบสูงแห่งนี้ มีประวัติศาสตร์ ที่ยาวนานมาก ไม่ว่าจะเป็นทางธรรมชาติ หรือทางอารยธรรม ดังที่มีการค้นพบซากสิ่งมีชีวิตดึกดำบรรพ์ อายุนับล้านปี พบชุมชนเมืองโบราณ สมัยก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ หลายแห่ง ตลอดจนปราสาทขอม สมัยพุทธศตวรรษที่ 18 ด้วยอารยธรรม ที่สั่งสมมา ตั้งแต่สมัยก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ สิ่งที่พบที่นี่ไม่ว่าจะเป็น วัฒนธรรม ประเพณี โบราณสถานต่างๆ จึงล้วนเป็นส่วนหนึ่ง ที่สะท้อนให้ทราบความเป็นมาของคนไทยและชาติไทย

ขอนแก่นอยู่ห่างจากกรุงเทพฯ ไปตามทางรถยนต์ 449 กิโลเมตร จากกรุงเทพฯ ใช้เส้นทางหลวงแผ่นดินหมายเลข 1 (ถนนพหลโยธิน) ถึงจังหวัดสระบุรี ตรงหลักกิโลเมตรที่ 107 แยกขวาเข้าทางหลวงหมายเลข 2 (ถนนมิตรภาพ) ผ่านจังหวัดนครราชสีมาถึงจังหวัดขอนแก่น
อีกเส้นทางหนึ่ง เมื่อถึงสระบุรีแล้วตรงไปตามถนนสระบุรี-ลำนารายณ์ แยกขวาเข้าเส้นทางม่วงค่อม-ด่านขุนทด-ชัยภูมิ-ขอนแก่น หรือสระบุรี-อำเภอลำนารายณ์-อำเภอเทพสถิต-ชัยภูมิ-อำเภอมัญจาคีรี-อำเภอพระยืน-ขอนแก่น
